On the Feast of our Seraphic Father St. Francis of Assisi, the Capuchin family gathered in joyful thanksgiving for the 50th Golden Presbyteral Anniversary of Fr. Alfredo Micua, OFMCap. and Fr. Ernesto Lagasca, OFMCap. The celebration was held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10:30 in the morning at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, Quezon City.
The Eucharistic celebration was graced by priests from different religious congregations and dioceses together with the brothers and sisters from the Neo-Catechumenate who generously organized the event. During the Mass, Fr. Edgar Martinez, OFMCap., Provincial Minister of the Capuchin Philippine Province, led the renewal of vows which became a heartfelt expression of fraternity and fidelity that truly reflected the spirit of our Capuchin vocation.
After the liturgy, the celebration continued with a simple but joyful fraternal lunch at the Lourdes School of Quezon City gymnasium where families, friends, and communities shared in honoring the faithful service and witness of our jubilarians.
Truly this golden jubilee is not only a celebration of fifty years of priesthood but also a testimony to God’s abiding love and the enduring witness of two brothers who have faithfully served the Church with unwavering commitment in the vineyard of the Lord.
