The Araw ng mga Kapatid (AKAP 2025) was once again a joyful moment for all of us in the Kapatirang Capuchino ng Pilipinas. Hosted by the Our Lady of Lourdes Seminary, this year’s gathering became a space not only to relax and reconnect, but also to renew the bonds that make our fraternity truly alive.

The day began with cheerful greetings as brothers from different fraternities arrived at the seminary. Laughter soon filled the gym as the ball games started, setting a light and brotherly spirit that carried through the day. It was simple, yet it reminded us how joy and play can bring hearts closer together.

As the sun set, the tone became more prayerful. We gathered for Solemn Vespers at the Seminary Chapel, giving thanks for the gift of fraternity and the blessings of our shared vocation. After dinner, everyone joined in the recreation night, where the much-awaited Bingo and Wheel of Fortune games brought endless laughter and excitement. The joy in everyone’s faces reflected a fraternity that is not only united in mission but also in friendship and fun.

The highlight of the celebration came the next morning with the culmination Mass, presided by Fr. Edgar S. Martinez, OFMCap., our Provincial Minister, and with Rev. Br. Rolly Zoleta, OFMCap. as the homilist. The Mass was a fitting reminder that fraternity finds its deepest meaning in the Eucharist, where our unity is renewed in Christ.

As the gathering came to a close over a simple lunch and fellowship, I found myself grateful for the gift of brotherhood that embraces, uplifts, and strengthens us in our calling. As our song said: “how good and wonderful it is, when all the brothers live in unity.”  AKAP 2025 was more than just a celebration; it was a living reminder that when brothers come together in joy and faith, God’s grace truly abounds. Pax et Bonum.
