The Capuchin Formation

ASPIRANCY (1-2 years)
A period of discovering God's plan for you, as a non-resident aspirant.Meeting twice a month with
some variations.

Location: Outside the seminary

You can be a religious brother or priest or you may choose other paths– married life or single
blessedness.

A vocation as a Brother Minor

POSTULANCY (2 years)
An experience that deepens your call as a Christian and Capuchin Franciscan.With formal studies in AB Religious Education.

Location: Lipa Seminary

NOVITIATE (1 year)
Initiation to the Capuchin Way of Life, the Rule, Testament and Constitutions.

Location:  Baguio (Beginning of May)

TEMPORARY PROFESSION

POSTNOVITIATE (4 years)
Maturation in the Religious and Capuchin Franciscan Way of Life
PN1: Initiation to Retreat Facilitation and Retreat House Management
PN2: Immersion with the Poor and Exposure to Interreligious Dialogue
PN3: Charism Year: Development of one’s personal gifts and talents
PN4: Intensification period for perpetual profession

PERPETUAL PROFESSION

• For Aspiring Priests:
  Academic and Ministerial Formation
  1 year: Philosophical Studies
  4 years: Theological Studies
• For Perpetually Professed Brothers:
  Professional/Skills Training
  Special Ministries
  Pastoral Ministry/Theological Programs
