On December 10, 2024, the Capuchin Philippine Province celebrated a trio of significant events at the Capuchin Retreat Center in Lipa City: the Provincial Christmas Celebration, the mission sending of Br. Hilario Kapitbahay, OFMCap., to Ireland, and the unveiling of the logo commemorating the province’s 40th anniversary.
Br. Edgar Martinez, OFMCap., presided over the ceremonies, highlighting the importance of community and spiritual growth. In his homily, he expressed gratitude for the brothers’ presence and echoed St. Francis’ vision of reliving transformative experiences. He stated, “This Christmas Party ought to be a moment of fellowship, joy, and spiritual enrichment, where we honor the presence of Jesus in our lives.”
Following the homily, Br. Hilario was sent off with heartfelt blessings. Br. Denver de Leon, OFMCap., offered inspirational words before Br. Edgar Martinez, OFMCap., Br. Francisco Atienza, OFMCap., and Br. Rolly Zoleta, OFMCap., unveiled the 40th anniversary logo.
The gathering concluded with a festive agape meal, fostering fellowship among the brothers and celebrating their shared mission.
