Quezon City, Philippines – The Philippine Orthopedic Center celebrated the conclusion of its month-long Rosary observance with a heartfelt Holy Mass at the Male Rehabilitation Ward on October 31, 2024. The Holy Mass was presided by Fr. Vincent Paul Bitong, OFMCap, who delivered an inspiring homily emphasizing the power of prayer and the companionship of Mary in times of need.
The event drew a large crowd, including patients, family members, and hospital staff, who filled the ward’s corridor. Many attendees came from different wards to participate in this significant spiritual gathering. Joining Fr. Vincent were members of the Legion of Mary from the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, who contributed to the daily rosary sessions throughout the month.
During his homily, Fr. Vincent encouraged attendees to deepen their connection with God through prayer and reflection. He highlighted how such spiritual activities can uplift the spirits of patients facing challenging times. After the Holy Mass, some of the attendees were able to venerate the image of Our Lady of Lourdes, allowing them to touch the image and offer their prayers.
To commemorate this meaningful occasion, Fr. Vincent presented rosaries to all attendees, including patients and staff, as tokens of faith and hope.
